Denver Anniversary Getaway: Day 3

 February 15:  A Day At The Gaylord Resort

After the long day yesterday, today's plan was to spend the day leisurely enjoying the Gaylord Resort and all it's amenities and winterfest activities.  We began the day by getting out morning coffee (or in my case peppermint mocha) and sat outside by the open fire pit and admired the mountains.

As we went back inside the resort I took some photos of the amazing lower lobby....

A quick change of clothes and we hopped into the adults-only hot tub (not that there were any children out and about).  You can't see it in the photos but there was steam rising off the water - low 40's at the time we were in the water.

Our "farewell dinner" was at the Vista Montagne, an Italian restaurant and the Chicken Parmesan was great!  Sat on the "porch" overlooking the caboose on the train tracks. 

The final activity after we'd changed into warmer clothes was to take in the "Winterfest" and especially the Light Display.  We had considered doing some of the activities but in the opted to just enjoy for one final time the chill in the air and the beautiful sights.

As we left Winterfest we stopped for a final photo-op on a ski-lift amidst the Christmas trees.  What a great getaway it's been!
